What you need to know about weathering steel

We love beautiful Cor-Ten Steel. Also known as weathering steel, Cor-Ten steel is a steel alloy that has been developed to eliminate the need for painting.

Once exposed to a natural weathering process the steel transforms into a beautiful stable deep brown patina that varies in appearance. The properties of the steel mean that the surface rusts and the inhibitors in interior layers of the steel prevent the rust from going deeper.

This means your Sam’s Garden products will last a lifetime.

When you receive your Sam’s Garden art it will be the colour of Blue Steel, and will change over time.
